I have my transmission apart for inspection- bought a used driveline, dropped the pan and there were some shavings.
Well long story short- one of the front planetary pinion pins had walked itself out. Ok problem solved. But of course there is a catch, the front planetary in my trans is a 6 pinion whereas- from all the info i can find it should be a 5 pinion. There is a rebuild tag on the trans so anything may have been done. i have a feeling its a planetary from a 48re but dont want to order one, wait and find out I am wrong (and the price difference is huge) So can anyone confirm by the pictures what planetary i have and wether a normal 47rh one would work?
