iv talked to a few people just trying to post on here to get a better idea if anyone else would know what the trans is doing or know why. i recently swapped a 47rh into my 24v from a 5 speed. for the first 2 days it was fine. then it all of a sudden started shifting firmer. when it started this, it stopped downshifting to 1st when you slow down and stays in 3rd. when the fluid is cold, the problem is not as noticable but as soon as the trans warms up to 120~degrees it gets hard to drive. when you slow down, the truck stays in 3rd and just wants to push real hard. if you put it in nuetral and back to drive its in 1st gear (still trying to push real hard) and it downshifts if you pull the shifter down, converter is unlocked as i can hear and feel it unlock when i flip the switch down. it also does this when going into reverse as well. has a billet single disc but a stock valve body. was going to order a suncoast converter tomorrow morning and hope it solves issues as the it shifts through all the gears fine when you are moving and does not slip at all...any advice or thoughts are appreciated. thanks alot
