So I have a 47rh transmission pulled from a auto wrecker installed in my truck and have no reason to believe it is a good unit. My intent is to see what I have. So far D 2 and 1 seem to work on jack stands the problem is it locks up in reverse and drags in neutral as if it's still in gear. So far I have installed a new filter, confirmed and reconfirmed fluid level. Confirmed all pressure testing procedures check out. Checked and rechecked front and rear band. I do admit I haven't done the shop air test that requires the valve body off yet.
With my limited transmission knowledge am I safe to assume the rear direct clutch is the culprit? Should I be performing any more tests while it's still in the truck? Thanks
