48re build

alright ..put it off long enough . I'm going to build my transmission myself(not saying it will be better than a bought one ,but I want to build it) . how tight a guys build 48's? anything besides adding frictions that can be done? this is my daily driver.Not going for big power..... yet. I'm a firm believer in "Built not bought".

single disk or triple ?? haven't decided yet ( I hate a looooose converter!)

laminated flex plate
red altos or blue pate frictions anyone used these(raybestos blueplates)?
red alto bands(strap & anchor)
billit servos
anything else any of ya'll guys can think of?
I'll buy a valvebody goerand or hts

You can build the valve body yourself. I use kit 48re from superior trans parts
1 850 575 7155 its a simple kit and works.

do you sell this kit? and can it be retro fitted to a valvebody that has had a transgo kit installed?

billet band strut too, add that to your list. Wonder what lever is in your tranny? Mine was a 5:1 and i kept it, might want to go a higher ratio if you have a lower ratio one.

pretty sure I've got 5:1 in it ... I was going to 4.2:1 .
