48re converter in a 47re?

Just wondering what the difference is. I have a billet triple disc converter for my 06 with a 48re but I'm going Tuesday to trade it for an 01 with the 47re and wasn't sure if I could put the converter in the 01 or if I just have a giant paper weight.

They can go backwards not forwards year wise. You should be good.

Yes they can. All you have to do to use a 47 in a 48 is remove the sealing washer. I believe that's what your referring to.

^^^^^ That is correct, to run a 47re converter on a 48re, remove the sealing ring from pump stator support.
