48re Suncoast question, help needed.

Okay, I'm helping a buddy with an 05' Cummins put some Suncoast transmission parts in and ran into a problem. We're installing the "extreme duty rebuild kit" from Suncoast and on the overdrive brake clutchpack the kit came with 6 frictions and 6 steels, but the clutchpack height is quite a bit taller than stock 5friction/5steel. There wasn't a new apply plate, and it seems to have no provisions for the added clutch and steel. What is up with this and what type of modification is needed to make it work? I'm sure that I'm not the only one that has run into this.
