My buddy is looking at getting a 4BT out of a bread truck to put into his old International pickup. He is seeing adds for 4BT, 4BTA, and 4BTAA motors. Can someone tell me the difference? I tried the search option, but as usual, didn't give me much.

Thanks.

They are basicly the same engine in all reality, one has a built in air to water after cooler but its complete junk and should be removed and replaced with an air to air cooler

The T stands for TURBO, the single A stands for AIR/WATER cooled, and the AA ones are AIR/AIR cooled like the pickups.

Perfect! That is actually what I told him that I guessed was correct, but wanted to know for sure 'cause I didn't want to mislead him.

Thanks guys! I'll forward him the website too!
