4x4 5R110 trans to 2x4 what has to be done?

I am considering using a 2005 5R110 in a diesel conversion project. The trans I have found is a 4x4 unit but I will be running a 2x4 truck. What has to be done to the 5r110 trans to get rid of the transfer case? Is it a simple tailhousing swap? do I need a new tail housing and shaft? other major mods?

22 looks and noone knows how to do this?

I have heard it just involves swapping the tail housing for a 2wd unit, is that right? or do I need to swap the output shaft too?

Tailhousing and shaft swap. It's easy.

I did just that in the ranger. Its no big deal.
