I know there have been plenty of threads on lowering a 4x4 all the way around, but has anyone ever thought about just lowering the front and maybe just pulling a couple springs out of the rear? Give it a good rake to the front like the dmax's do when they race. You guys think there would be some advantages to this over lowering the whole thing? My thinking is it would help keep some weight on the front axle when I launch, right now it weight transfers so hard i'm loosing front end traction.

Would it be possible to take the block out from under the rear springs? Or possibly find a smaller one? Then maybe get 2wd springs or something less stiff. I have no idea if that would work, just an idea.

I've read both of those threads. I'm more interested in getting a better launch instead of just lowering it all the way around just to be low. Just wondering if anyone has tried just slamming it down in the front with good results. I guess i'm gonna try it and just see what happens.

We cut the front springs and took out all but two leafs in the rear, the truck work good this way

I cut 1 full coil off the front of mine. Lowered the front 1.5-2".

Mine was never a drag truck though, I did notice that it seemed to hook harder on the street. Stock on the rear though.

did you ever have any problems with bottoming out on bigger bumps when that thing was a DD, right now im sitting on bumpstops (timbrins), im thinking od putting the factory ones back on and dropping the front a little more
