looking at the gear calculator not sure what gears to run. I have a 24valve p-pump reg cab truck with a 5spd. mods are 13mm scheid pump, .120 lines/tubes, 6x18 injectors with p-pump pressure, e.d. customer 2.6 with t-6 flange 1.10 housing, 32* of timing, EEP cam. the driveline will consist of a scs axles and full spool in rear and arb in front with 33 bfg ats with a sd dd 4200 clutch. pulling most in southern/ centeral ohio and eastern ind. some clay tracks and some loose it all depends. light to heavy sleds. want to put gears in one time and thats it (I hope) just trying to get some advise so the engine is not running 5k down the track but not falling under itself. Checked the search and other threads but still confused on what the finial drive ratio should be.
Thanks for the help/info

I run the same tracks. Just installed 4.88 gears all the way around. I will be pulling Sat. so I can let you know how it goes lol.

what is the rpm's that most are trying to carry down the track? I am guessing 4000-4200 to high or low? plan on leaving the line at 4800-5000 with a kennys triple disc if money allows me to put one in.

There isnt really a set rpm that everybody wants carry down the track. It all depends on your setup.

There are several threads about this very same question on here with lots of info.

It even depends on the power band of the cam that your running on the rpm going down the track

Every motor is going to be different. I would think that you would need to get it on the dyno and see what rpm the it is making the most power, so you will no what rpm you need to run down the track.
