5.9/48re swap

I'm in the process of a very slow swap and I'm trying to find some info. I have been planning to use the factory 2003 dodge harness, ecm, and modules to make all this work, but seems I'm hitting a roadblock. I am new to this swap, and really don't know much about the wiring. Can anyone tell me if this 48re will work if i run the factory harness and dodge modules? I have been researching and talking to people and was told that the 48re uses the abs sensors. If this is the case I am just gonna go manual vb. I spoke to goerend and they can make that happen. Anybody have any info on this?

I have a 03 w/ the 48RE

i'd suggest that while you have it all apart installing it, i'd do some tranny work (3disk tq converter, input shaft, other goodies) to handle extra power down the line.

Can't you just get a motor/tranny complete? Maybe a doner truck?

I already have the engine and trans installed getting ready for the wiring now.

Isn't there a difference in wireing on the 03/04 and 4.5+ 48's?

I think so, but I'm not sure. This is my one and only diesel swap or modify ever. I'm still learning.
