i have 5k cds springs in my pump and truck will free rev 5300 and turn 4800 going down track wondering if you guys help me out was wanting get it turn 5000 plus down track change to ag gov help??

Whats the rest of your setup like, motor drivetrain ect... Just because you have 5k springs dosnt mean you are going to turn 5k down the track, it depends on the rest of your setup as well. But if you post what the rest of the truck is setup like, maybe we can help. Plus, you probably arnt making that great of power at all at that rpm. On my 3.0 truck, i might pull 5-5500 off the line for a bit, but i need it to drag down to like 3600-3800 rpm range for the power.

truck 5spd has eep cam and internals s400sx 1.10 housing turbo 5x20 sticks 28deg timing lots of head work t4 manifold 33x1250 sts tires with junk 410 gears

Got one for you puller guys, is 28 degrees high enough for that RPM? 28 is dangerously close to street timing in my eyes, after 25 it kind of sucks on the street with my setup!

28 degrees with the auto style gov, in my mind is pretty high, you could try and bump it up a little but then it starts running rough at idle and pretty much anywhere besides wide open. What pump you running? The smaller pumps have a hard time powering at high RPM's.

I would also try 4 lo and find a gear that works good for you. If it is just a puller, you will have better luck using 5.13 gears, or something around there. I ran 4.10's awhile back before the 3.0 truck, and had a hard time finding the right gear, wheather it be 4lo or high.

it has a cds worked 12mm they said its 600cc?? i dont c that im saving money for a 14mm ag pump from them just way economy is harder to do was just trying to see if i have other options and also i was thinking of 488s and 4 lo or 513 and 35 inch tires and 4 lo thanks for your help

I can hit 4500 real easy with tweaked 4k and 28 deg of timing , but I'm wright on the edge of my bowl also . Saw this couple of weeks ago when I had it rebuilt so I may bump it back down a bit or I heard with a 215 pump that it will pull timing back at full rack is this true if so how many DEGS??

DD I would try 4th if u can pull 2nd hi failry easy then it would b worth a shot

I need to play with timing again, I've been lazy lately and have not played much! Currently I run 20 and the truck is nailed on driving day to day, so much I could add more timing as i have stock spray pattern injectors and big bowl pistons.

Get some tires with less tread... some bald BFG AT's should give you a few hundred more rpms down the track :D

i used to run 50% bfgs but in 2nd hi or 4lo id blow them off with 1200lbs on front and 25 psi didnt matter on track but they werent as bad on a tacky clay track any lower they blow bead why i went to sts
