What causes this? It only does it sometimes.

Thanks in advance!

It could very well be the gauge, but other than that it always works fine and temps are always where id expect them to be.

It doest sound loaded at all. It usually does it when slowing down and stopping at a light. The egts will drop to 300 while coasting and braking, then slide back up to 500 while im sitting there. Cruising is still fine.

If I'm in gear idling, say at a stop light or stop sign, mine usually stays 450-500. But I have a super tight converter.

dude. autometer is where its at! i have heard that glowshift wast as good of quility of a product as compared to autometer. dont know if its true.. just what i have heard.

I have had my isspro's for at least 7 years and not one problem.

My truck has a pretty tight converter and if memory serves me, it idles at a little over 400* when its in gear. Put it in park and it will come down under 300*. Its just under load enough to be making that little bit of extra heat. Perfectly normal.

Great. That's what I was hoping. Thanks everyone.
