I noticed that my Rpms havent been up to were they used to b after I installed some 5 Gsk 2 weeks ago and didnt think much about it so I changed a few things and nothing is really helping . The shop that put them in said I may need to put the 4ks back in I was like huh? he said hes been talking to others and that I might b better off with the 4k untill I have more pump work done and what not , so I started doing some searching on here and noticed the same thing others have tried and they have lost RPMS so is this a hit or miss thing ?

Thats wierd. I put a set from Scheid(i believe) in Josh's old pump and they worked great the whole time he had the pump. I dont think he turned it over 4k though since its an auto. How many RPM did you lose Rodney? And did you lose it under hard fueling or just free revving at the line?

I would open it up and tighten the springs up a couple of clicks on each side and see what that gets you.

With the 4k I could rev up to 4500 and it would hang close to 4 down the trac depending on trac/sled in 4rth now now matter what it wont get over 3K going down the trac , so yea I may need to crank them up

i have had my columbus diesel 5k's in my stock 180 pump for 2years now no problems except for idle stability. as far as knowing were they stop at i dont no but the tach is straight down.

Thinking about it though Rodney. Your truck still smokes plenty hard indicating that you should be getting plenty of fuel. Unless you think it isnt smoking as much as it used to?

I think i would check for boost leaks and exhaust leaks Pre turbo. And possibly double check your timing.

Eric

how many turns on the adjusters sounds like your adjustment is off.

I'm on 4 clicks going to try a few more tomorrow and see

I dont think I have any leaks still holds 50+ down the trac egts are good too

Hopfully I can get b4 friday if not I was told it may need to b on a stand to get it wright I also was wanting to get my plate CCd with the pump too so I can slide and see what works better
