has any one used Sheids 5k gov springs? di you like them? how did it idle? what was the stud purtrusion?

I would buy CDS's 5K's and be done with it. Stud protrusion is the least of your worries time and time again has it been stated that u set your gov springs by clicks irregardless of stud protrusion, it is a balanced assembly.

For home installs I like the Haisley's. I have CDS in my pump, but CDS installed them in the pump.
 
How different will a 5K kit fuel than a 4K kit?
I fuel way to much down low and would rather it fuel that hard in the mid to upper range.

Adjust your AFC to limit your low RPM fueling.
If you have boost you can have fuel. No boost, just makes smoke!
 
The main reason I measure the studs are to make sure they are the same, yea I'm anal but mostly on other peoples stuff.

Yes, I had a set, and the idle was fantastic, plus the fuel very hard.
 
The CDS springs idle smooth as silk, as did the early version of the Scheids
5k but thier later version had a wild ass lope that made it sound like a 1500hp Mod Pull truck...the only prob. with them is they wouldnt pull the rpm I needed even when tight? The CDS's will.

so.... eveyone likes the Columbus springs.
I am in the market for some now also and just like hearing all the opinions.
