6.0?

Im a cummins guy, so all i've had is dodges. Looking at changing up now, ive always like a ford truck just never real big on the engines. Ive heard a bunch of horror stories about 6.0's just curious if they're as bad as everyone says there are? If i buy one i dont want to spend all my time working on it or worried that its going to leave me on the side of the road. Would ya'll reccomend buying one or not?

There are a couple of big issues. Depending on what year you are looking at, will depend on how many issue apply.

Do you have a truck in mind or just looking in general?

It depends on what you are going to do with it. A stock truck properly cared for will do just fine; very few people have major issues. Its when you mod them that they go over a cliff pretty quick if your a dumb a$$ about how you set it up or if you beat on it. Some people think they can just add a bunch of pwer and all should be well. Wrong. If you make a few strengthening mods, it is a pretty decent engine.
