Just wondering, can you visually see differences in a 6.7 block and head from like a regular 24 valve motor except for the injection setups?

How?

On the outside I can see no differance between the two. On the inside bigger bore and stroke and siamese cylinders. Head as far as I can tell is the same head as a 5.9.

So if you put a p-pump on one in a pulling truck most wouldn't be able to tell the difference?

the block is different, if you want, send me e mail address and I can send you pictures of the difference, they are in power point format.

the difference is there is 3 additional cup plugs on the fuel pump side of the block. and there are some additional holes on both sides of the block just above the pan rail. and some of the bolt hole bosses look different.

That could be but its hard to notice that unless you are looking for it. I didnt lay the two right next to each other and go over them with a fine tooth but just by looking at it there is no differance. If you had a 6.7 in a 03 it would be real hard to see any differance.

For the most part the outsides of the blocks/heads on the 5.9/6.7 are identical.

Is their any 6.7's on the track yet? I just was curious.

The bolt pattern for the gear housing is different from what I have been told. a p-pump housing will not fit.

It can be made to fit without to much work. There is a thread on it somewhere on this sight.
