6.7 timing with new cam?

When I got my 07.5 6.7 cummins I sold the stock cam out of it and forgot to mark the timing. I'm putting in a max spool 2.5 how can I make sure I install the cam right so i don't hurt my motor?
 
That is part of using the degree wheel. with the engine coming up on the compression stroke, you depress the intake valve, or pull the injector an use a piston stop. you run the engine up un till the piston contacts the stop, then you note the degree, then you back the engine the other way until it stops and note the degree, you then remove the piston stop and rol the engine to the midpoint of the two angles, this is exact top dead centre.
