6,7 Whining noise?

My friend bought a 08 6,7 auto truck a few weeks ago, it´s stock other than egr delete and edge. Sometimes it starts to make a whining noise that is quite loud and it starts to blow exhaus gas somewhere under the hood, can´t see where cause fan blows it around. It sounds like belt slipping. Could it have something to do with exhaust brake, it whines the same way when it engages? Maybe its jamming up? The sound stops when you park and put it in neutral and press parking brake on.

Any help where to look or what to try?
 
sounds like the ebrake is engauging but also have an exhaust leak somewhere does it have dpf delete
 
No, dpf is still there. Yes i know there is an exhaust leak. But the broblem is the whining. I was thinking, if the exhaust brake is engauging it raises manifold pressure and the leak becomes bigger. Can i pull the wires off the ebrake or something to test if its the broblem?
