6.7L Warranty/ Fuel Mileage

A new 09 6.7 is in the works. And we are trying to find out what we can do to increase fuel economy maybe power but keep the warranty in tact. With these new trucks is it pretty much impossible to do anything without voiding the warranty? It is being ordered in the next couple of days. Just trying to get a handle on what if anything we can do. Thanks

What ever you do get something in writing from the dealer stating that modification will not void your warranty. I have a 09 and I get 19-19.5 on the highway and about 14.8-15.0 in town.

Ok Ive read a few posts about 6.7l not holding up well to daily driving on the highway unloaded. Lots of DPF issues and warranty work being done. This truck is going to spend a lot of time on the road with very little time for warranty work. In short will it be dependable as a highway truck?

the reason most people are having problems is because they drive like grandpas. i have 40,000 miles on my truck and i haven't had 1 problem and i have a heavy right foot
