I am going to upgrade my injectors in the near future. I have Jammer 4's now and I would like a 6 or 7 hole injector that is about 150-175hp. My question is what hole size would that be and is there a benefit to running 6 hole injectors versus 7. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have a set of 6x.16 i would like to sell was told they were like a 325hp inj that may be bigger than you want thoe

We have a 6 hole and 7 hole sac nozzle for the 24V engines. The 6 hole is specific to specific jobs and used on few engines now. We used the 6 hole style to make the first record pass for a 24 V engine back in like 2002 for DHRA. Track time was 12.09. Turbos were crap back then and good cams were just getting going. In the end the 7 hole killed the record of the 6 hole and it went the way of the dinosuar for the most part.

The 7 hole is the king mac daddy for clean and clear fueling. The 6 hole will not produce any more power in a VP engine using just Diesel. Less really. This does not count these new monster pumps. I have little to no data for those. YMMV on those monster pumps and what injector is best.

The Mach 4, 5, and 6 injector hole size = .09843" x 7 holes

HTH,

I dont know anything about a L3. What is that?

We have a sac style 6 hole. Along with a 7 hole ( the 4, 5 and 6 Machs ) The comparison was between those two.

Back to the comparison. In 2002, things were pretty grim on the turbo front. The HT3B and HX40 was a common combo for twins. LOL

I bet a dollar we could improve on things, but only marginally? The 24 VP market is dying off. The numbers are not there to support a new program. A first year biz student could see that.

What makes the mach 7 different?

Sad but true Don.
I'd have gotten out of this 3 years ago if it weren't for your help with the injectors for this p-pump setup. I've seen the writing on the wall as far as the common rails go, but untill they figure out a way to avoid the burnt pistons I will stay away.
Fortunately there is some new stuff coming out that works with the p-pump motor.

The Lightning Series are 6-hole Sac nozzles from a Mack application, a few different vendors sell them.

I have a set of 7x.018 Schied Injectors. Were told they are L4's... is this not correct?

I would reccommend either Mach 4's(150hp) or Mach 6's if you want a bit more. Mach 4's put out more power with less smoke than Jammer 4's. Better mileage too. Mach 6's are a noticeable step up in power from 4's, but need more air to really work well. I didn't see any mention of a turbo upgrade in your signature line.

I have a 62/65/14 right now. I am thinking about getting another turbo from ED 62/68/14 with their race cover I guess it is, they sey its flow is comparable to a 64 wheel without the lag. I dont want that much lag with what I tow usually 12K+

What's your goal for the truck? What will be it's main duty?

I tow pretty heavy usually 12K+, daily drive right now (workin on another street beater now), and sled pulling. I dont compete in a class for points or anything but once this truck is set up a little better I am going to do about 15 or so local pulls and the Buck every now and then.
