I've been looking around on the interweb and noticed on bullseye's site they have small t3 housings listed for the 83.4/74.3 turbine wheel which I believe is the common wheel used in s465-s475 single applications. Specifically they have a .60 and .70 option. Has anyone ever tried one with an external gate? I gotta think it would light a s400 single up quick and with the size of the turbine i'd imagine drive could be kept in check with a good size external gate.

I don't think surge would be a problem, I had a quick spool flange on my .90 and id dind't make it surge even when it remained closed all the way up to 60+psi boost and 105psi drive.

What is the link that shows that?

Bullseye Power Turbos

Look at the s370 and check out the turbine housings available for it.

the smaller t3's are only avail with the 66mm turbine wheel. check the link Jim posted. now if they could be cut to fit, i dont know, ED would know, they do alot of bullseyes machining

Those are not S400 chassis housings. They are for the S300 turbine wheel common to the silver bullet series chargers. They mount with the bolt and tab as opposed to the V-band mounting style S400 housings. The bearing housing pilot bore, wheel trim, heat shield size, mounting style and insertion depth are all different. We've played with it Nick like we have talked about. We have other areas that demand more focus than this. When we get one we are happy with and prove it here, you can run it for us until your hearts content.

Cool Chris, thanks the the detailed explanation. Honestly man I couldn't remember if we've talked about these housings or not. Looks like they've incorrectly listed the dimensions of the 83/74 turbine wheel common to the 400 instead of the smaller silver bullet s300 style wheel which is what through me off.

CHeck out Muddin dude he had an .80 t3 machined to fit an s400. I think the whole turbo is forsale.
