I currently have a 62/65/14 turbo from high tech I would like to have a 62/71/14. Can I just get a new exhaust wheel and shaft and put it in my turbo or is the exhaust housing different. Thanks in advance.

Whats a good source to get parts from? Do I need to go to high tech or can I get them from Engineered Diesel.
 
For about $550 you can get a 'cartridge' from any Borg Warner dealer/distributor. Price maybe less, maybe more. Cartridge consists of a complete center section with shaft, comp and turbine wheel. All you need is your comp cover and turbine housing. Then find a reliable machine shop to cut your turbine housing for the 71mm wheel.
 
I dont really want to buy a whole cartridge because this turbo only has about 10,000 miles on it. If i had to buy a cartridge I think I'd sooner buy a new turbo and have this one for one of my other trucks.
 
Just went through some old notes. These are probly 6 month old quotes from TDI in Indy. 71 turbine wheel and shaft was $271.xx. 62 comp wheel was $167.xx. Rebuild kit was $134.xx. Mark at TDI 800-232-2834.
