Anybody have any alternatives for chargers that are a lot cheaper than the expensive singles that are in that 62/62/12-14 range that are used on a tractor or something. I recall someone mentioning a caterpillar charger that was close to this but i cant find the post. Looking for something bigger than my hx35 as a top charger for my twins. Any help is appreciated. It would be over my s475 i have now.

i see non wastegated s300's on ebay off of john deers in he 60-64mm range go for under $200 occasionally. you would just have to call ED or someone to get a housing

keep an eye on the forsale section, guys are selling 62's all the time for around $900 or less. they are out there. i am awaiting a brand new 62/68/14 from Engineered diesel, it's not going to be a stock 62, it is going to have the super 62 compressor, and race compressor cover. just keep looking they pop up for sale all the time.

no, i just see them every now and again, dont pay all that much attention to them though.

All the "cheap" s300's use big exhaust housings. I've found a few in doing some digging that will work with minor mods. The one I'm planning on using as my secondary charger is a 60 68 .88 t4 foot. It's an s300 that is used on the newer JD combines. It's a non-gated housing, but I'm going to run an external gate anyways. Post up what size turbine exducer you want and I'll see what I have in my list that matches up.

Our 9760 combine has some sort of s300 non wg
haven't taken of th intake tube yet to measure. The compressor outlet turns towarrd th front just like the cr turbos do.
A friend of mine put one of those turbos on his 05 dodge with smarty and mp8
and he says it spools at least as good as his 62/71/14 did that he had on there b4, And boost the same. on a 12v it was slower to spool thou.

Mine is a C300G071 Cat S300, 62/65/.70ar, ref.no. 191-8023
The only application I've found is an old D346 Cat V8 generator set...had 2 of these little turbos.
