this turbo was custom built by a friend. It has a .84ar exhaust housing is this to small I drive the truck daily and sled pull some a drag race some...op: will I have to run a external wastgate with it. its no gated right now. I hope I can run 50-55psi and not pop this thing? it is a garrette charger

Listen, you'll need to run enough fuel to spool that thing, so with the 13cm turbine housing an external WG will be required so you don't overspeed it (not saying the Garrett couldn't take it).
