Ok, so I was arguing with a buddy of mine. He claims that the early Powerstrokes had Head gasket issues, and Overheating issues. He says he knew a guy that bought one brand new from Ford and they had to replace the motor 3x and there were others at the dealer too for the same problems.
I have never heard of this!??
Is this true, were there head gasket issues with the 1994.5 Powerstrokes?
I tried to argue that he might be confused with the Turbo 7.3 IDI, but he swears up and down it was a powerstroke.
-keep in mind this is coming from a COMPLETE biased Chevy guy. The type that would push his broken chevy then EVER own a ford. He always tells me how much durable the duramax is compared to the 7.3 powerstoke.
