7.3L to 5r110

What would it take? I'm kicking around the idea of putting the 5r110 behind my 97' 7.3L. I realize i would have to get the stand alone controller and adapter plate, But would it even fit without major body work? Ive located a couple 5r110's real cheap but they are without transfer case's, Would my transfer case bolt up or do i just need to find one with a transfer-case. My truck currentley has the E40D. Any help would be greatly aprecciated!
