93 250 not charging?

so I got a 91.5 350 that was in bad shape but the motor was mint with 107,000 miles. so I aquired a 93 250 that had an old cummins in it also. I switched the motors out and now its is not wanting to charge in the 93. changed altenators and checked all the connections. it was charging fine in the other truck..is there some sort of relay or regulator on the new truck keeping it from getting to the battery? I know the newer truck doesn't have the voltage regulator on the firewall like the older one.

The voltage regulator is in the computer. You can use a external voltage reg or replace the computer assuming the alternator and wiring checks out. I put a 94 motor in an 89 the alt charges fine with the 89 voltage regulator. Rich

yeah i ended up putting the wiring harness that plugs into the firewall out of the 91.5 and now it charges fine, thanks for the input tho. now i just need to figure out how to convert a 3 wire speed sensor over to the 2 wire on my wiring harness??:bang
