I just picked up a 1995 Ram 3500 dually 4x4 ext.cab with a sleeper on it. 338,000 miles on it. Truck is a little rough, rust on cab corners and front fenders, bed has a dent by dually fender, this is not a show truck by any means.
The trans needs needs a rebuild kit. 3rd gear will not hold, it pops out and grinds. The syncros or blocker rings are most likely shot and maybe a bearing would be the culprit. When the truck is cold, you can hold the shifter in third, and it works fine. As the truck warms up, third is not useable. The track bar will need replaced soon, and so will the outer u-joint on pass-side front wheel. 4x4 works, engine runs great, drove it 70 miles home, runs great down the highway. Also has an exhaust brake on it, but I couldn't get it to work. Prev. owner said its been starting to stick.
The first $2,500 takes it. You can drive this truck home, shifting from 2nd to 4th, good runner. If it doesn't sell within a week or two, I will drop the tans, and fix it myself and keep the truck. I dont have any pics right now. The truck is all black, with grey interior, power seats/lock/windows and overhead display. It really is a pretty nice truck, with a ton of miles on it.
