96 dodge diesel auto transmission 47RE

I just removed the auto trans out of my 96 dodge diesel 2500. And need to get it out of the way. I am pretty sure it is the 47RE. If i had let the truck set for a week or two it would seem to not want to shift right, for about 5 or so mile's. But after that and if i drove it every day it would shift perfectly fine. I dont really know what the problem is. i have replaced it with a 5 speed. Not sure what it is worth, so shoot me some numbers. i will include the lines and the torque converter.
