this is a 2WD!!! I know that's a big deal breaker for a lot of people, so I don't want to waste anyone's time.

white 98 quad cab long bed 12v 2wd 5sp. gray vinyl seats (buckets, not bench) ST model with rubber floors and manual windows, but does have cruise and tilt! :)

I bought this truck from a friend that I have known for over 10yrs. He bought it some time back and it was 100% bone stock. It was a company fleet vehicle and was well maintained. VIN shows a 4.10 open rear, but he swapped in a 3.54 LS D80 out of a 99.

He did a #10 plate, 4k GSK, PDR-35, and some other little stuff. The head gasket started weeping coolant, so he had Mike at HotRodDiesels do studs/o-rings after the head was surfaced. It's got a marine gasket in it too. It led a very easy life in his hands. EGT's never over 1300*

I bought the truck with 172k on it and it now has 208k and counting. I installed II Dragon Fly injectors and an SPS-62 turbo and a SBC FE clutch. The truck runs STRONG. I made 535rwhp on my last 98 12v with this turbo.

the interior has a TON of sound deadener in it. It has infinity replacement speakers as well as pillar mounted tweeters with low filters in the doors. The center seat has been replaced with a ported sub box with a 10" sub, and it's covered to look just like the factory seat. The factory console mounts to it, and it looks 100% stock. Has a Kenwood deck that just crapped the bed :(

Previous owner had the tranny rebuilt with a fully splined main shaft.

recent maint includes all new greasable U-joints, new front rotors/bearings/calipers/pads.

Truck has polished 3rd gen alloy wheels w/ factory BFG's, flip out tow mirrors, and LineX spray in bed liner. I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff.

I searched for this exact truck to use for work. I wanted the 98 quad cab 12v and wanted a 2wd because I knew I was going to be racking up miles on it and I wanted the better fuel mileage and less trouble-prone front suspension of the 2wd.

I don't need to get rid of it. I really shouldn't actually, but I've been shopping for another 3rd gen, and as much as I'd like to use the 12v for work and a 3rd gen for play, it's kinda foolish to have the cash wrapped up in two trucks.

Just putting the feelers out... I will talk cash, I will talk trades, I will talk my truck plus cash for your 3rd gen... I can put the truck back closer to stock if you prefer. I have a nice HX35 turbo, I have an HTB2-14, I have 215 injectors, I have 370 injectors.

The truck runs very strong and makes awesome power, but I very rarely go full throttle. I never NEED to go full throttle, and while I love driving fast, I rely on this truck to make my living, so I do not abuse it!!! Truck is ultra-reliable, and I would have no probablem hopping in it right now and going on a 3000 mile road trip. Heck, I just changed the oil a couple days ago :)

I change the oil every 5-6k miles (depending on my schedule) with Rotella Synthetic and Fleetguard stratapore filters! I'm probably throwing away money changing the synthetic that often, but with the II injectors, the truck can get a little smokey, and I feel it's cheap insurance to get fresh soot-free oil in there :D

these are the only pics I have of the truck. I ripped the running boards off as soon as I got it. It has a black grill and black bumper and plastics on it now. It is not a show truck. It's got some spots on it, but overall it's a very presentable truck. PERFECT for a work truck

it's got an SBC 13.25" Con FE in it with about 30k miles. also has the upgraded hydraulics that were installed at the same time. Never slipped, and I always start out in 1st gear, so it doesn't really get slipped at all!

SILENCE!!!! You Tempt Me!!! LOL

Nice looking truck Forrest, wish I had some spare cash :bang
