Truck was running fine up until this morning when I went to start it, now it won't even crank. All gauges work, no CEL, radio works. I have 12 volts to the starter. When I go to start it, I depress the clutch and turn the key, then nothing happens. It is acting as though I am not depressing the clutch. 3 months ago I replaced the the hydraulic clutch assembly. What should I be looking for? Starter, alternator and batteries are also new within the last 8 months. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Edit: Truck is a 98 24V NV 4500 3500 Cab & Chassis with AirDod 100, Edge Comp, Amsoil 4510 and CAD Delete.

Don't know about manuals, but isn't there a neutral switch on the clutch pedal so that the truck knows it is in neutral. I could be way wrong on this one.

You have to have the pedal pressed down if the plug is plugged in. If the plug is not plugged in, it will start without the pedal being depressed.

OP - ignition switch?

could be ignition switch...

make sure and check all your fuses before you go any farther.. sometimes its strange how one minute, everythings fine, and the next, your day gets ruined because of one of those dern little things popping on you, lol!

Weazel, I have checked all fuses and all appear OK.

DoomsDayDiesel, by clutch switch do you mean the 2 wire harness coming off the shaft between the pedal and the master cylinder? If so, I tried jumping those 2 wires on the truck and then starting it and still nothing happened.

Rob24VCTD, yes, the dome lights come on when the door is open.

It turned out to be the starter (even though I recently had it rebuilt) and the ignition switch ($60). I am not sure it this was a joint reaction or a simultaneous event but the truck is running now. Thanks to those that helped.
