99 24 valve and 03 long block differences

What are the differences between a 99 24 valve and an 03. Im just really needing the block, rods, crank, and head. Its going to be a performance build with different coated pistons, ported and polished head etc. I was thinking the blocks were different. If the block cant be used can the head.

Blocks are different. Nothing will bolt up on the front of the engine between a CR and a regular 24v.

CR head can be used on a 24v block if coolant passages are matched.
