99 47re 1-2 shift

My 99 47re will not shift out of 1st gear without letting off the gas petal then it will shift in to second,third,O.D and lockup??? I tried a new speed sensor not sure if its the governor sensor?

Are you sure its hitting second? Most often then not, its skipping second entirely and going straight into third, check the band adjustment, most likely the band is wore out, the anchor or wedge could have fallen out, which will result in complete second gear loss.

Thanks it is skipping 2nd gear. Gonna check the band and strut.

check your pressures as well invest in a gauge if you do not have one

I had the same issue but I was getting second gear. Mine would only do it when I first started up in the morning though. I've been told if was a governor pressure solenoid.
