99 5speed to auto swap

I have a 99quadcab longbed 5speed and my buddy has same truck only with a fully built auto an we wanna swap will everything match up an a guy is tellin me it the auto wouldn't work I'n mine mc my wirin harness was missin wires to control shifts I'n the tranny is this tru any helps appreciated

You just have to take everything from truck to truck. ECMs, PCMs, wiring harness and all. It should work out just fine
