99 dodge 2500.... wats it worth?

im looking at possiably getting this truck sunday...

i havent seen it in person yet... have plans to go either late saturday or sunday.. the guy said it had good paint under the spray can primer and had no rust on the truck.... he also said it has tranny issues..

Tops and I mean tops I'd go $3000 on it. Been sitting for years, been primered (who knows whats underneath) batteries are dead, and tranny has 3rd gear issues. I'd say its really worth 2-2500
