99 ecm same as 2001????

I need a ecm for my 2001. I found one for a 1999. are they the same?

any and help appreciated

different sensor configuration, such as cam vs crank sensor. if you put a 99 ecm in your truck it will throw a code for crank sensor and it will barely run from my experience.... If you reflash it you might be able to get through...... however i do not know about hardware

That wire configuration for the oil pressure switches are different. The 99 uses a 3 wire plug and the 01 uses a 1 wire plug. It'll work, but your oil pressure won't read on your gauge panel...

the 99 can be reflashed to work in the 2001, the cruise control won't work will be the only issue.
