Adding Ipod to factory 6 disc cd changer

What is the easiest and cleanest way to add an Ipod to my stock 6 disc cd changer?
What size Ipod should I get?

i have a 30GB video ipod. it's really nice. for the best sound quality i would use a FM modulator such as this one

There is alot of other brands out there. just google them. once you have that installed you can go to radioshack and get a wire with RCAs on one end and a hedphone jack on the other.

Do youself a favor and buy a headunit that is ipod compatible. I have an Alpine 9856. I bought a ord that pulgs into the back of the headunit and runs to my glovebox, where I stash the ipod. I can control the ipod from the headunit, and no pesky ipod thiefs will ever know it is in the truck.

Is it an In-dash 6-CD changer?? If so the only option you have would be a FM-Modulator , If it is a seperate changer you could try this. http://www.logjamelectronics.com/blitzfordmlink1v1coem.html


You can try contacting these people http://www.pac-audio.com/default.asp But it may be worth your while to just buy an aftermarket head unit with the IPOD input feature.

Thanks for the help! I'm not to thrilled about the fm modulator so it may be time for a new HU.
I was hoping to get the ipod then upgrade the rest of the system later on, but that may not be the best option.
I think I'm going shopping this weekend!
Any suggestions on a HU priced under $500?

P.I.E. adapter is the way to go with factory unit. I got mine off Epay.
