additive?

my dad has a new 09 6.7 what kind of oil additive are you guys running or having luck with? also are you guys adding any kind of diesel additive ?

Why run an additive? Is regular oil or fuel not cutting it any more?

That SOB is designed to run on the garbage we have at the pump, let it run. Cummins will tell you that ZERO, NADA, NOTHING can be used in the fuel system...well, other than a little BIO. Run the ever living hell out of it and you should be ok. If it's a grocery getter...you may do ok or ya may replace a turbo, replace an EGR, replace a DPF, replace an o2 sensor, need to wrap the exhaust elbow or just plain soot up the system.
