THis maybe a stupid ? but when is an adjustable trac bar needed? what size lift? Only put a 2" leveling kit it... will a regular one work? I need to get a track bar, mine is shot, just want to get the right one. thanks for the help

well technically if you change the height of the vehicle at all, even 3/4", you are changing the geometry of the suspension and you would need to adjust the track bar.

But in reality people put 2"-3" leveling kits on there trucks all the time and never mess with the track bar. I did for 2 years.

In my opinion, if your track bar is shot and your looking at getting a new one get and adjustable one.

Adjustable Track Bar or Pan Rod Bar - Dodge Ram Suspension System Components

Thuren Fabrication - 0-3" lift track bar

Pick up a 3rd gen adapter and track bar that is adjustable. it will be your least costly route and works very well.

Out of the two listed above, The Thuren Fabrications, or the DT Profab track bars. Which one is the better of the two? Or flip a coin and both would be a better choice than what is on the truck now?

I've never ran eather of them, maybe some one will chime in that has.

But i do have alot of experience building and running suspention components. if it was me i would run the Thuren Fab one. I like the way they fab stuff and the components they use. also they use balisitc fab joints, which i really like and use on evey thing i build (when applicable). also i know alot of people that run the thuren fab control arms and have been really impressed, and i would think there track bar has the same quality of craftsmanship.
$.02

DT bar is a decent peice.... i got it because they actually had them in stock.... unlike thuren
