Adrenaline engine miss heavy throttle

OK here is the deal when I am fueling the truck hard in 5th it has a bad miss and will sometimes shut down if i snap out of the throttle on a hard run and press the clutch in to brake. It will also maintain the miss for a few seconds after i stop and sometimes stays missing until i give it a quick rev.Problem gets worse on higher settings.

Fuel pressure is 17psi constant pressure Idle or WOT.
No codes for a vp failure

Could this be a bad VP44
A fuel delivery issue like the need for bigger injection lives and/or delivery valves
Bad injectors (problem dont happen until I use the adrenaline)
Engine mechanical problem

I have pump stretch set at 1650
Injection timing set at 6.5 on a scale of 30/10
Boost is at around 35 40ish sometimes it creeps up extremely high
EGTS are unknown until I get my pyro in the mail for the adrenaline

What is this am i looking something over or is this a common problem.

Sounds like your draining the pump and thats why its killing it. Lack of fuel can cause the popping. What kind of supply pump and were is the guage picking up fuel pressure

Air Dog 150, I have 16psi, i have a mechanical pressure gauge tapped into the supply line about 6 inches from the vp44.
 
Ummm, yeah...... That is pretty common amongst vp44 trucks. Sony snap the throttle off if you can avoid it. I have seen trucks shut the phuck down from dropping the throttle at WOT in 4th lockup....

I had the same problem with that box but only with one of there tunes. I can't remember which one it was but I changed to the max torque tune n never had an issue since. Which one u runnin?
 
What kind of custom tune? To my knowledge ADR doesnt give out custom tunes and no were in your original post do you say anything about a tune. Second you must not know much about your truck cause a vp doesnt have delivery valves. But as said above this is a common thing on these trucks.

The pulse gives you the ability to change multiple perimeters as he posted in the original post with his stretch and timing values

Try bumping the stretch to 2k and reset timing to stock settings.

How old is the ADR? I had problems with some of the same issues with the early boards but since they updated to the newer boards Ive not seen the issue.

Not problem i have not delt with them much in a long while. I was under the impression that you still had to down load one of their tunes but you could movr some things with in a certain window? Not really a custom tune.

That's basically it....more of a fine tuning of the tune...clear as mud now huh...lol
 
If your running any level over 2 with 150's and an hx35 your on the verge of melting chit. My wife's truck with an ADR and hx with the wastegate set to 33-35 will hit 1500* on a long pull. That's with factory injectors and the comp tune. As far as the truck shutting down it's just something some VP's do. I have one truck that would do it and would not start back with out a shot of either.
 
Maybe try sending the box in. I believe it's only 20 bucks for shipping and any repairs it mite need they do got free.
 
i think this is just a vp44 thing. after a hard pull with mine on kill it will miss and sh t and fart. I think its almost as if the fuel inside the pump is cavitating.
 
If he really has what he says he does and running that high of a level he might be heat soaking everything and it's trying to vaporlock. I would bet his EGT's are over 2k if he's running "150's" and level 10 with just an HX35.
