I just installed the adrenaline today and I can't get the truck to run for more than 4 seconds. I connected the map, data link, vp tap, power and ground to the battery and the #9 fuse tap. When I start the truck the rpm go up to 1500 and back to idle for a second, then up to 1500 again, back to idle then it dies. All this happens in a matter of 5 seconds. I thought it was the pump wire tap, so I stripped some of the black coating on the wire for a better connection but it's still the same:bang. Any help of suggestions would be appreciated.

I also forgot to add that when I plug in the usb cable to update, the connected and disconnected chime start to ring while the box is still plugged.

I removed the adrenaline and the truck runs fine now except I do have a CEL. I did the key trick and these are the codes I got:

1693- DTC detected in ECM or PCM
ECU
1689- No communication between ECU & injection pump module
0234- Turbo boost limit exceded
0122- Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor signal voltage too low.

This truck has a fass 150 system, II HRVP, cam sensor, mach 6's and connector tubes that are less than a month old. Before I installed the adrenaline I had no CEL....?

When I first installed mine I forgot to reconnect the APPS because it was sort of out of sight... put it in gear and all I got was a speed no faster then idle. :bang

Not really sure why your getting those codes... I'll have to keep an eye on what you find out.

That 1689 code has me nervous. Try clearing them and installing it again and seeing if they come back.

You and me both. I installed a bunch of stuff to fix my problem with my old vp and fuel system and now I'm rewarded with this.... not good. I'll have to try and clear the codes with a scanner, disconnecting the batteries probably wouldn't work.

Did you see qaudzilla's post on DTR? He wondered if the wrong wire was tapped? Is that a posibility? Not to insult you, but I tapped the wrong wire as it was my first time tapping a VP44 and the beta units didn't have instructions. I did have the 1689 code until I tapped the correct wire. I posted this on DTR as well. I never got the over boost code though...

Mines doing the same and getting the 1693 and 1691 DTC. Mine high idles for a few seconds then quits.
