AFCO shocks

Adam

Leary Racing Products here in Denver sells them. Talk to Roger Avants or Mike Leary. They can get you set up. They also have a shock dyno and can set them to your specs.

Can they make a set with an eyelet bottom and stud top you think?

how did you decide on afco?

I'm looking at alstons varishocks, qa1, and a couple others and trying to decide.

Would imagine so. Just tell them what part number shock you need. They sell a few brands. Afco QA1 and Penske.

Here's the shock I'm using on my 1/2ton

This is what i'm trying to accomplish up front. The kit seems to have some mark up at $823. Sourcing it over summit the springs are $75 each and shocks $260 each. I was throwing the idea around getting a higher quality shock for the same money as the kit. I'd like to have double adjustable shocks up front.

The stock 1500 spring one inch compressed are about 385lbs. The Cummins block assembled 1000lbs squats the stock suspension three inches. So I figure that the 600 would work fine. Heavier springs are available if need be.

No not as of yet as I'm working on a 9" install right now. Shocks are out getting a preliminary valving done.

Once I get my new title :hehe: and truck registered I'll have to drag it down to check this project out!!

I think it would be about perfect for my 1500 if I could find an 700# spring (or better yet an 800#), but I don't believe QA1 sells one in that style that heavy.
