Aftermarket push rods.... cummins 5.9 2001

are they worth it? who is selling them? I just read over on TDR that Hamilton has chromolly rods now....

Im going to be running a aftermarket cam on my 01 as well as upgraded valve springs... just checking to see if its worth it while the motor is torn apart...

Thanks guys
Ian

I have these in mine.... Manton rods

probably not real necessary but, anything that can make the engine a bit more stout, I'm all for.

what would I gain over stock rods? reliability in high HP? lighter weight?

24v OEM Push Rods can bend pretty easy I Personally have chucked valves and had the push rods still be straight as an arrow. So aftermarket ones can be a good thing.

What ever Greg Hogue is sellin' that's the pushrods I have...springs too..

Ian, Hit me up on the other site! Theres some Awesome deals going on right now!!! Package deal too!

Introducing from our "Sourcerer" line of performance tested products, our new dyno & track tested light weight 24 valve pushrods. We've utilized a Chromemoly 4130 seamless tube. Then heat treated/hardened them for additional wear resistence & strength. This has allowed us to use a 5/16ths diameter tube to reduce recipricating weight by over 40% compared to the gargantuan arcaic oem pushrods. We've "pushed" these rods through pass after pass at 4100+ rpms with ZERO failures to date. We've invested in a large enough quantity to allow what we consider to be an exceptional VALUE for you 24 valve Cummins "rpm" enthusiasts.

Nice to see someone selling something like this and not trying to gouge our eyes out with the price. Thanks Steve B.

So what are the dimensions of the pushrods in my 12 valve? What ones do I get from Manton?
