Towed the father in laws F150 last week and it appears one of my air bags (on the truck when I bought it used) gave out. If it were you would you replace them or go to one ton springs? Goal is to not have so much rear end sag when any kind of load is placed in the bed or pulling a trailer with my 97 2500 std cab 4x4. Thanks.

I'd say airbags to be the best, but a set of overloads would work too. Normal driving wouldn't change that way.

My 2500 came with 1 ton springs, basically the normal spring pack with overloads, I think it's considered a 2500HD? I still ended up adding airbags to help balance heavy loads.

you will like air bags a lot better. osfter ride when you dont need all that spring in the back.
