About the 3-way dump valve...watch which one you get. I got mine from Jegs and it was a BG valve. All the valves look the same (I am sure the same place makes them all) but the ones from Goodvibesracing come in an Enderle package.

The thing is I found out later that my BG Valve was put together for a Carberated engine and the one you want for our engines is the Fuel Injected unit made by Enderle. There is no difference in the parts of the valve...just the way its put together.

Let me explain....

The BG Valve went in the open possition will have both the port to the carb open and also the port to the return line for the tank. On the carbed engines you then have to put a pop-off valve with pre set "pills"(springs) that will hold the presure to 10-20 psi or 30-40psi. What this setup does is keep the carb from blowing seats and needles (I don't know much about carbs but thats what the Jegs guy told me) Then in the closed possition it goes directly out the port of the return line.

The Enderle Valve on the other hand is meant for Fuel Injected engines so in the open possition fuel only goes to the engine and in the closed possition it goes right out to the fuel return line.

Here is what I had to do seeing I bought the BG unit. The valves are the same only but the only difference is which side the little handle is on. Its removed with an allen key and then once the handle is off then you pull the pressed in pin which will let you turn the valve 180 degree's...put the pin back in and then the handle back on and you just turned it into the Fuel Injected style.

Hopefully that makes sense and if it were me...I would just buy the Enderle valve off of Good GuysVibesracing...Just wanted to share that info.

Just an fyi I've seen a few sites selling guillotine stype air shut off's for over $100 that appear to be simply a $10-20 blast gate with a couple springs attached...

Air shut off guillotines from $100-160....

Same setup basically for $10-25....( can be found cheaper too)

Found another for $10

Anybody use one of the blast gate style?

Yes the one I showed is from Enderle & got the pic from good times racing. It is rebuildable,2 o-rings which I have had to replace once I removed them from alchol racing.

I have done a few of the Blast Gates. We get them from McMaster Carr for about $15. Never had to use it and I hope it works but am not to sure. I do think at the very least it will slow the motor enough to finish her off if needed.

I have made quit a few for some of the trucks around here and personally have one on my truck. Alot of people say they are built to light but they do the job the sled pulled mine by accident when I was running about 3500 and it killed the motor instantly with no damage to the gate. Couldn't have been good on the turbo though!
