AirDog LP Help

My dad has a AirDog 100 and it keeps blowing the fuse. Im guessin a short somewhere. any ideas or experience with this?
 
Pull the cover plate on the back of the motor. If it is dirty, clean it. Did you call Airdog?
 
Not yet. He bought the truck with the pump on it so i didn't know what they would do.
 
Took cover off and it was clean. couldn't find a bad spot in the wires, so i unhooked it and now it runs fine. Im thinkin the pump may be bad?
 
Called AD and thats what they said too. Gonna get new pump and see
 
my pump motor just went bad after 100k. it was the bearings in the motor failing causing resistance. it blew my fuse and melted a realy and some wires when it did.

im lucky i had a gauge because i only looked at the pump because my gauge was only showing 8-10 psi. glad it didnt start a fire down there.
