ok so i offically hate my airdog fp150 i have had nothing but problems with the thing, ok at first it worked great 17psi all day long 6months later the pump motor burns up, get a new warranty motor put it on it was a alright 15psi, then a few months down the road the system starts to slowly lose pressure somewhere some how. I just replaced the motor on the pump again last night and still the same i pulled the whole suction line and tube out of the tank check everything over and over again took apart all fittings and put new sealer on everything on the suction side nothing is making a diffence. any help or real advice would be awesome thanks!

Yes when I just put the new motor on friday night I check all that over and the filters have only bout 7000 on them so I would hope that they are still good. Right now pressure sits at bout 11psi at wot it drops to 6psi.

Idk I was thinking about trying a different gauge but iam reading it though my quadzilla which would not be surprising if that's messed up as well I have had problems with it as well I have a little holly 0-15psi gauge for a carb I was thinking bout screwing that in the line to see if that's reading any different but then again you can tell its not getting enough fuel its doggy and not smoking near as much as it use to with a hotrod pump and 250 sticks it would roll the coal. Iam goin to get some new filters today but iam also doubting that's it that, but goin to give it a try

Have you greased the gerator or changed the gerator? I know they came out with a new style one a few months ago. I know i greased mine and it pretty much fixed mine till I got the new updated one from Kyle in the mail. Have you talked to Kyle or Anthony about it yet?

No its easier to start a thread bashing a product before testing the WHOLE system.

Pretty sure I may have talked to you earlier. You said the truck was studdering when it dropped to 11-12 psi down from 17. If I have you confused with someone else i apologize.

If so doing a bucket test and using a real gauge as i suggested would be your best option. Pulling psi down 5 lbs shouldn't cause the truck to buck. Just visually inspecting the tube or lines doesn't do much most of the time unless it's a huge leak, a small air leak or pin hole that can't be seen by the naked eye will sometimes show up once heavy suction is introduced causing the problem to be made worse.

Its a original FP150. Also to the one that's not giving advice and doesn't know the whole story I have gone over the whole system multiple times, and spent hours on the phone to airdog also.

To 1lowdiesel. We may have talked but the last time it was ever at even 15 was 4 weeks ago it holds only 11 psi now. It doesn't buck when dropping pressure it just feels like the power has been cut in half. Also I did do the bucket test for all of 30 seconds it didn't increase pressure it stayed the same also it poured diesel out of the pickup tube. Thanks for replying all "real" help is greatly appreciated. Also Iam not trying to degrade the product iam just clearly stating the problems iam having with it.

Mileage has nothing to do with a fuel filter being good. One bad tank and a brand new filter can become wothless. Not saying that's your problem but I would change it and see what happens.

I would start with a new gauge. Had one do that to me, new gauge and problem solved

Poured diesel out of the pickup tube?

Please give me a call tomorrow so we can discuss this and get you straightened out. I'll get you fixed up.

Also don't be offended by the comments. It's just that too many people go straight to bashing rather then try to work the issues out or ask for help. It gets old after a while ya know.

Not sure how much this helps, but I had a similar issue recently..

I installed an AD150 about 6-8 months ago and everything was great..

I filled the tank one day, then left for vacation.
Returned a week later and when I started the truck, the fuel pressure took about 10-20 seconds to finally build to 15psi.
I drained the filters, and checked all the lines. No leaks.
Checked the line going to the pressure gauge and it had the glycol in it..
Everything looked fine.

went to get new filters, and could not locate them. Had to order them.

while I waited, I took the fuel pressure line off the isolator and hooked up another fp gauge.. Fuel went everywhere, but I had instant pressure...!!!!!!

Problem was from the isolator to the fp gauge... Refilled the isolator with glycol and everything worked..

As my friend told me... KISS "Keep it simple stupid"...

Check the simple stuff first.....

Hope you find the problem and it is not the AD.

1lowdiesel thanks for replying and reading my posts i will contact you in the morning. i do want to make this clear to every one else thats misunderstanding my thread iam not tryin to bash any products just tryin to explain the whole story stage by stage, i have spent so many hours under my truck workin on the fuel system that it is tiring and just want the problem fixed, like i said before the pump was awesome for the first 6months could not of been happier iam sure the issue is minor and a very rare occurrence cause it is a very nice and well made product not looking to discourage anyone from buying the product either. thanks and thanks for the help everyone

Hey! No need to back paddle! The title, "airdog problems" points blame at a product. And WTF is this???> "ok so i offically hate my airdog fp150 i have had nothing but problems with the thing"

You bashed a product so man up and finish what you started.

My guess is that there is a problem with the way it was installed or it's pulling air somewhere.

LMFAO well i got to just say thanks to everyone that read my post with a open mind and tried to help, its nice to have those type of gear heads around to give advice, instead of the ones that would rather try to "bash" others posts about their misfortunes.
I went through the whole system today i pulled all lines off cut and refitted each and every end, switched out the fuel pressure gauge to a manual one read the same as my quadzilla has been reading, whet through the pump again to make sure it was completely clean changed fuel filters and the pressure has only gone up a few psi and does not hold a solid reading, so now my guess is as good as the next just goin to have to live with it as of right now.

I have never had luck with the quad gauges.....I have had 2-3 psi when I had a vp and it didn't make any more power when I got more fuel pressure. I do not think the lift pump is your problem
