AISIN standalone controller??

I have a chance to buy an AISIN trans from a 08 cab and chassis dodge for my project truck. I have heard the aisin in the C&C dodges are standalone is that true? Can I just take the computer, wiring and trans then hook up a couple sensors and go? What would be needed?

If this is just internet theory (ike it probably is) can anyone tell me if the aisin can be controlled by a pcs controller?

last i heard suncoast might have something on this, but the tcm in the dodge trucks requires some communication with the can bus nfor some sensor inputs which effect shifting stategy.
