I want real input on this as in difficulty and possibility. I got a wicked deal on a 12v engine... basically... I traded a deer voucher worth maybe 500 bucks for this 95, but it is totaled. Not wrecked, the batter just exploded and lit the truck on fire... I already sold the axels and made 3000 off. The engine is going to need to be rebuilt since all the hoses and wires are melted. But I was wondering if I rebuilt the engine, why not swap it into something cool? I wanted to do a Nissan Titan but that that is already done, and I came across a H2 rolling shell..... It is really really cheap since the guy who owns it is fed up with it and just wants to get rid of it. So a 12v cummins swap into and H2... possible? "i know anything is possible" but like realistically and spending a million dollars doing it. The H2 is pretty big, and some are running Dmax's... so would it be fairly simple "as far as swaps go"? any real input and help would be awesome, thanks.

if your trying to do a cheap swap why not go with a swap into something common so parts are available and knowledge is out there....

if you do a one off project, it will come with a one off price tag

Since when did h2's come with a dmax? The original billy bad ass hummers came with dmax's. If your getting an original hummer then it would be pretty freaking awesome to drop a 450-500hp cummins in one of them.

I think h2's are wanna be trucks to begin with. To many people do things to H2's already, I'd do something else if you really want to be different. Like the lil red express, do something really different. How about a pinto? Haven't seen a 12v in one of those yet :D

The 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha came with a Duramax diesel. All other Hummers came with GM 6.2L or 6.5L diesels.

Ive seen a H1 with a Cummins in it and it was freaking awesome. Especially when the rig climbed a 90* wall, rested its wheels on the ledge, and then back ed down again without slipping at all :).

Nissan anything...meh..

H2..pass. Just a GMT820 frame (same as the Tahoe and Yukon) with a HUMVEE lookin body on it. A "hardcore" grocery get'er at best. NOT a true Hummer.

Ive always wanted to swap a diesel into a 73-79 Ford CCLB DRW or a 67-87 GM K30. Or a Ford Bronco or GM Blazer/Jimmy (K5).

Maybe one of the old Dodge D-series truck (D300, 500, etc.).

Olds Vista Crusier with a Cummins FTW!!:hehe::hehe:.

I've got half of a '78 Bronco, all of a '79 bronco, one ton axles and CTD drivetrain, already to get mashed into one vehicle. Should be fun once its done. The twins on my DD will make it on to the bronco.

Naaaaaaw them lil red express trucks are too common and a cummins is just too darn heavy for them anyway.

That will be sweet:D!! Ive always loved the styling of those trucks. How much power do you intend to buck that Bronco with? You have a build thread started?

Id love to do a similiar swap. I also want to swap various 2-stroke Detriot Diesels into most classic trucks. Maybe someday.

Anyway, Good luck with the project man!

No power goal yet, whatever I happen to get out of it.

No build thread, the trucks are sitting on my parking pad at the moment. I need to build a garage before I can build any of my project vehicles.

Jonny, put that 12 valve in something that is useful. 12 valve h2 wont be "cheap"

Pipe dream....LOL

Just put the 12-valve in a Ford Super Duty and be done with it. Best engine+best truck= happy driver.

Naaahhhh, get outta here with that fummins chit. You only do that if you have a ford to begin with and a ctd block laying around :cheer:

^ I do :)

Ive been trying to think of a cool, somewhat obscure, vehicle to swap a Cummins into, but ive been drawing a blank lately...

lol.

Dune buggy!!! I'd love to see a 500hp ctd in an old beetle. Or a pinto. Or a tempo. Or a Civic. A CTD civic would blow peoples minds.

Daweoo Lanos!!

"You just got killed by a Daeweoo Lanos (insert Cummins) Mothafuka!!" -Pineapple Express.

But man a large sized, rear engine, Cummins powered dune buggy sounds awesome!!

Honda Civic:hehe:. I think that would blow people minds in a BAD way.

Someone did put a 6.0L PSD in a Honda Civic though....unfortunately..yes im serious.

The fools..

pretty sure a cummins has been swapped into everything possible at this point. just pick something you like and do it. just be warned, it'll cost 3x what you think it would've if you do it right.
